Apple’s iPad has grown in use with the disabled population, especially children who find the device relatively easy to use. There have been an abundance of apps created that aid in communication, offer visual schedules, increase vocabulary and reading comprehension, create social stories, share interactive books, play musical instruments, etc. All of this is possible without any modifications or adaptations, which also increases the independence of the individual with a disability.
